I just stumbled across this article announcing the upcoming sale at Sotheby’s auction of the Pratt Desk designed by the brothers Greene and built by Peter Hall.

This pinnacle piece of G&G furniture is expected to sell for something in the range of $4 million dollars – Wow!!

Feel free to put you bid in, the auction is Dec. 16.

Update: The desk and chair sold for $6.9 million. Really hard for me to grasp spending that kind of money on a piece of furniture (or anything else for that matter).
