Topic tags/keywords: clamp

I was just given three of these. I know it has to be some type of clamping system. Anybody got an idea?

It looks like a clamp to be used for edge banding with Wetzler Quick clamps. http://www.wetzler.com/cross.shtml They will probably work with other brands as well as long as the bar fits in the groove

They fit on the bar of your Bessey bar clamps to help keep boards from buckling when you edge glue them,

Want some more? I have a bunch of Bessey’s hanging on the wall, never used them more than once…

I used them for edge banding.

I’m just thinking out loud here, but I have this piece of T shaped bar. There are times when you need to hold down an area in the middle of a board and no clamp will reach. This T-bar should flex less than a 2×4 and be more stable. I’ll have to try it with these clamps and see how it works.

I usually end up doing this with small glue up rather than using the Bessy clamps and edge clamps.
It’s just less fuss .
I use a couple of clamps cross ways to keep the glued edges modestly tight while the set happens.

I love this show and tell.It sure makes it easy for a redneck to catch on. Thanks Bob.

That hand in ER on your wood folder should be posted on the safety thread. Talk about a picture being worth a thousand words. This picture speaks volumes.

The cross clamps are rather inexpensive at Wetzlers. The link is in the second reply
