I hope it’s all fine now. Our newsletter service provider had a small problem that is solved now. Bad timing ugh…

Hi Jim.
Post a blog about the idea, pretty much just saying what you just did.
Let me know when it is posted and I’ll add it to the next eMag. We’ll see who is in your area.

Love the LJ eMag as always and know that it requires much effort to continually put this sort of thing together.

I do have a question about one of the links, Debbie, the Heading…. What’s New at LJ.com...

Have you checked that link? I don’t believe it is the link that should be there…. leastways what I keep getting from my laptop. Not to say that I wouldn’t mind rubbing against the grain of some of those beautiful legs, et,... lol… but where the destination that link leads my computer to is certainly not wood related….

Now, I’m confused. I just checked the direct link to the Nov. eMag posted above and it does not have an active link on the Heading that I mentioned. In the eMag I received in my eMail that same heading has an active link on the word LJ.com, which goes to a very questionable site.

I am a member of East Texas Woodturners in Tyler, TX.
We are participating in the “Beads of Courage” program, and we provide turned “boxes” that are given to children who have to have extensive hospital procedures to live. Participating hospitals will give a colored bead to a child for every procedure, exam, shot, etc., and as can be imagined, the number of beads becomes quite large. The children string the beads and put them in our “Beads of Courage” containers and display them to their visitors and guests. So our woodworking “community” is really making a difference. :)

“Worth” – how wonderful.
The Beads of Courage is such a wonderful program – making it a visual reminder of what the children go through.

The boxes are a beautiful gift.

Debbie, I really enjoyed and applaud your remarks about community verses social network. Well said!

I was hoping there would be something about the latest rash of porn posts and what is being done to combat them? It has gotten so bad at times I won’t view the website on my lunch hour at work or infront of my family.
