Back in January I bought a Groz Rabbet Plane from Woodcraft. It’s not top of the line by any stretch, but it worked rather well for my needs. Earlier this summer I decided to sharpen the blade and it broke. I hadn’t even put it to the stone yet.
I looked for a replacement blade, but couldn’t find one. So, I sent an email to Woodcraft asking where I could get a new blade. Within hours I received an email saying they were sending a whole new plane out tomorrow. All I had to do was return the broken one.
I wasn’t looking for a replacement plane, just a blade. They certainly did right by me on this and it is only fair to recognize their good service.
