Does anyone have or know where I could get plans for a Coffee table that doubles as a storage chest?

I think a tool chest can make a great coffee table.

If you like it, There is link in the project to a series of blog posts and the first one has sketch-up plans.

If you don’t have a toddler, you don’t need the raised edge around the top and could vary the design of the top to suit the style of furniture in your house.

I would think a nice steamer trunk with a flat top would make a great coffee table, with loads of storage. All of the hardware to jazz it up is readily available.
