Looks a lot like the normal gray kind of barn wood. ;-) Really looks like it may be Oak with the open grain.

Can you cut a slice and show us a close-up of the end grain?

Looks like two oak boards, the top one being quarter sawn.

I would say oak or ash. If oak, the end grain will show the rays, very easy to see, and if ash, you cannot see any rays.
