I'm rebuilding and antique rocker and need to replace some missing spindles. I have a spindle I can send if someone has a duplicator. Anyone got a hookup?
Hi Sawdust Junky, the only reason I didn't respond to this was because I couldn't help. I cannot believe out of more than 22000 members no one has come to your aid.
Thanks Cher. I did receive a couple saying they would give it a try but were beginners in the spindle turning area. Looks like most of the wood turner here do bowls, vases and pens. I was fianally able to get connected wityh a guy in Iowa who turns spindle often. Thanks agin for your reply.
Hi SDJ. I might be able to help you. I have been asked to turn some from a a guy I met at the craft show on Saturday. I try anything on the lathe and have made a few spindles as long as they are not too small in diameter. I tend to blow them up. Can you send me a picture of what you need and the quantity and wood they have to be made of? My E mail is jcj7815@att.net.
If the contact in Iowa does not pan out, send me a note with pictures…............Jim
