So this weekend the tool gods were shining upon me. I had just gone to the local woodcraft to pickup a table plate to mount my little PC690 router in for some doors(ya the triton was on the xmas list). I had to run by HD and as I always do I swung by the clearence isle. It just so happened they had a Porter cable 890 fixed based router sitting there marked 40 bucks off retail. Upon inspection I could tell this router was a product of theft and return as the plastic plate, collects, and wrenches were missing. No worries to me as the PC690 parts will work fine and this bad boy was going in a table anyway. A quick check to make sure it worked and a talk to the manager had me walking out the door with the 890 for 100 bucks. Can’t beat that with a stick. I even swung by the hand tool Isle and picked up a 3/16 wrench to use for above the table bit changes and such. SCORE!!!!!
