Topic tags/keywords: white blank spot at top of page

Since I had my hard drive replaced, LJ displays a blank white spot about the size of a page above every page I open. It doesn’t happen on any other web site. Any ideas what causes it and how to fix it? Thanks.

Sorry I don’t have a clue. Sounds very weird tho. Maybe just re-boot, sign off and sign in again. ???? I don’t know

I get that in Google Chrome. Zoom more than 100% is the cause. Top right corner at the far right end of the address bar. Click the 3 standing dots, go down to zoom and adjust.

I have been having the same issue. I see your advice to reduce to 100% fixes it but now I cannot read it easily. <grin>

Bob,

In “Settings” at the top of of your ‘puter next to your tool bar, hit that, and it’ll take you to the page that has “Browser Settings”...Click that, and go over to “Display….It’ll pull down, and check your settings there…Put it on Medium, then go down to the numbers, and set it on 100%....If that’s too much keep playing with the settings till you get it like you want it. On my new lapper, I have mine set to Medium, and 100%....Anything above 100%, and you get that white page….Just keep playing with the numbers and settings to suit you…..Hope this helps, bud….

On mine, anything more or less thqn Medium and 100% is either too big, too narrow, or too wide…

Thanks everybody. I have been off line for a few days. Google setting to 100% fixed it. But I wonder why it was at 175% when they put the new hard drive in? And, why could I make the page big enough to see easily without that happening before? Technology is absolutely amazing. Never know what it will do to you next ;-)
