In my shop we work jatoba a lot. Not all tools that work on soft wood will work on a hard hardwood like jatoba. Brad nailing is impossible, screws need to be drilled & tapped, etc.

What tools do you have that fail on tough wood that work on pine/poplar/basswood etc.?
