Topic tags/keywords: pens wood acrylic pen hand made watch parts parts cherry maple oak turning

I’ve made some pens! I have finally got some casting under my belt and made a “Mickey” inspired watch parts Rollerball. Slicing and dicing woods all apart of what I do now.

Nice work on the casting.I have a question as this is something I have been getting interested in

How did you bend the face plate on the watch? All of the faceplates I have monkeyed with are an acrylic laminated to a piece of metal and crack and peal off or distort when they are bent around the tube.

This is what they are;

https://www.amazon.com/U-CHANNEL-PUNCHES-FORMING-DAPPING-NOVELTOOLS/dp/B013RPG6KM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1492542606&sr=8-1&keywords=STEEL+BLOCK+SWAGE+U-CHANNEL+%26+6+HAMMER+PUNCHES

Paper faces, Ceramic faces cannot be bent or work with Polyester Resin!

Hope it helps. I got them from this supplier and got kit in the mail like 3 days later….
Thanx
Randy
