Just scored these. All around 4-6”x~10”x2-3”.

Gal thinks they were Mahogany.

Said she had a guy cut them and finish them for her.

Sticker says “made in Bolivia”.

I recently made about 15 oven push pull sticks out of Mahogany and some of these pictures look consistent with what i used. It was a very easy wood to cut, shape and sand. Wear a dust mask because it does produce some fine dust.

Cool.

Got the whole box for $15 :)

Thinking about some 1911 grips out of them. Could make quite a few.

Maybe something else, who knows but I don’t get the bandsaw for about a month.

So sizes are:

9.25”x5.5”x3.5” (x4)

11.25”x4.25”x4.25” (x2)

6.5”x6.5”x3.5” (x2)

Comes out to about 11bf.

Can’t seem to come up with a total price/worth of it all.

I don’t see Mahogany,I do see Canary wood and maybe some maple.Very nice chunks for turning some bowls.
Nice score
Rockler and Woodcraft sell bowl blanks. To me their prices are inflated I wouldn’t pay half of what they are asking.
Are you trying to sell them?

No not selling. Just wondering their worth.

Some are finished with clear coat and some with darker finishes.

All the canary wood I saw online looks way nicer and has more beautiful color. These are actually very plain. My phone photos aren’t the best. I’ll have to look closer but I believe the grain and texture is all the same on them. Only difference was the finishes.
