Fine Woodworking did a comparison test awhile back, and the Woodslicer from Highland Woodworking won top honors.

I have a wood slicer. It’s terrific. I’ve tried several, but it’s the best.

I agree with Neil although I cannot argue with using a Timberwolf either. I use both interchangeably and do not see any major differences between the two brands.
