Topic tags/keywords: hardwood floors sealers sanding resuface question

I’m in the middle of a home remodel done by someone else. But he totally scewed everything up that he touched. Water heater installed, no electric to. counter tops not glued. Broke sink installing. Plumbing under was a nightmare of every part of every century under sink, etc etc. My last problem is wood floors. He sanded down old, stained and sealed, but left dry spot every were. I sanded down spots and recoated. looked good wet. But to my surprise the next morning it looked like I had used flat satin instead of the semi-gloss that was left. to finish. I stirred product and wiped down sanded areas. I’m at a loss. Anybody and anyone please help.

that could be a number of issues best being it needs anothr coat worst being an adhession issue dull spots can be a sign of the finish not adhering properly my suggesstion is either to a adhesion test or just put another coat and hope for the best if the floor fails the adhesion test you have to take it back down to wood and start over
