I think the time has finally come for me to buy a large shoulder plane. I have a smaller Clifton I’ve had and used for many years and now. I can finally justify buying a big one. (I’ve been looking hard for this justification for about a year now). I think the upcoming cherry king sized bed project has finally carried the day. I would very much like to hear your experiences with large shoulder planes. While I love my small Clifton, the Veritas and LN plans look awfully nice. I have three LN plans and couldn’t be happier with the product or service, they are great. But I can’t help wondering if the Veritas is as good as the LN at a lower price, or, should I save a few more bucks and go with another Clifton. I plan to use it to final fit tenons and the like on the headboard and frame and cherrish it for the rst of my life. Any personal experience or advice will be appreciated. Thank you

I have the Veritas, and couldn’t be happier. In fact, I wrote a review here some time back, and my feelings are even more positive now. Highly recommended!
