Topic tags/keywords: vacuum hose adapter

First power tool with a vac adapter for this rookie. It’s a Craftsman Miter Saw with a 1.5 O.D. vac hose attachment point. My Shop Vac inventory is 2.5 and 1.25 and thus I’m wondering… buy a piece of hose and a 2.5 adapter somewhere? Would hate to buy a long section of vac hose, ya know? Thanks.

Go to the plumbing section of Home depot and rig-up an adapter, like the one I’ve pictured.
The rubber adapters for ataching PVC to cast iron pipe work the best (also shown) with the band clamps.
I never glue the pieces together, friction is enough to hold them together and then can be used on other tools.
