This is the box that I built for my wife, it is a Steve Ramsey design. I made this one from cedar and purpleheart, but I may use different woods on the next ones. This is only my 3rd project that wasn’t something for the shop. She sent pics of it to her mom, and now I have an order for 7. What do you guys think I should charge for these.

189,000 craftsmen and woodworkers on this site and not one can help you? Let me be the first. Sell it for $10 or $100. Value is in the eye of the beholder.

Why sell them? Give them away! More fun. or, if you must, charge just for the cost of the wood.

When I make something special for my wife, nobody else gets one. Everyone else has to settle for a different design.

You cover your cost first. Then you decide on the future. Are you a hobbiest doing it for enjoyment, then not much more. If you want to do it ad a part time business, then hours and expenses have to be figured.

Welcome to Lumberjocks.

That is the best thing about woodworking, no matter how hard you try every piece will be different. She said that she doesn’t mind because she got the first one, and there will never be one like hers.
