Mains power is not an option for this man. I suspect if he didn’t have a machete, handsaw, and plane, he could just go full beaver and just start chewing. Handmade these days usually means made by one person with power and hand tools.!!

The video was interesting for the things it didn’t show as well. Tools go blunt and can only be honed so many times before they have to be dressed on a wheel. Were the fret slots set out by hand? I have stainless steel patterns that make perfect intonation child’s play.

The recent cyclone in North Queensland gave us in the south a bit of wind and record rain. We lost power for 30 hours. No power means no pump, no water. We hauled water from the water tanks by bucket. We have gas to cook, so a lot of food was prepared before it’s time. Camping lanterns, candles and LED head lamps at night and … NO INTERNET!!! I didn’t even consider going out to the shed, grabbing my machete and carving a guitar. lol.
