WOW, that was cool!

I’ve recently heard some ‘harp’ playing in the past few months that was the best I’ve ever heard (until today), and since I love modern jazz, it was extra awesome. Check out a couple excellent performances (one studio, one live) by Gregoire Maret with the magnificent bass player Marcus Miller:
Marcus Miller - Strum—His solo on harmonica is around the 2:00 mark in the video.

Marcus Miller - Blast - Live in Leverkusen, 2007—If you want to hear Gregoire’s solo, skip to 4:00 in the video, and turn your volume up…the vid has quieter sound than the above one.

You just might say ’’HOLY MOLY’’, just like I did while watching the Carnegie Hall performance.

Thanks for starting this jusfine!!

Bob, I won’t complain about any tune you play, how about some old Beatles music? :)

I like to play the harmonica while setting around the camp fire, but nothing like this guy. Wow!
