This had to be the most difficult box to make so far. The actual building process wasn’t the problem, it was the purpose for it that was a little unsettling. I have 4 sisters that are married and this the only one I’ve actually called my BIL. Actually, I’ve always considered him more of a Brother. My sister wanted something big enough for his ashes as well as some keepsakes she kept of his. The overall dimensions are 10.5” Wide X 13” Long X 10” Tall. The wood used are Oak, Purple Heart, Walnut, Red Birch, Ash, Mahogany, & Burl Honey Locust. My Sister loves a variety of woods. My Photography skills suck but I made do with the camera I have. All cuts including the Miters and Raised Panels were done on the Table Saw which is my primary go to power tool these days. Thanks for looking.

John

Sorry to hear about your loss. I am certain that the box you built will help bring comfort to your sister.

Best wishes to you and your family.

John, You did well! Great looking box for a good cause!
Just wondering why you didn’t post this on the Projects page?

A beautiful box, well made.
You honor your relative with such craftsmanship.
