What size pen mill do I need for the Sierra pen? Will the 7M mill I have work for it?

I’ve used the 7mm mill before by using the bushing for the kit on the bottom of the mill. Make sure you have it flat against the drill press table, with the end of the mill already in the bushing before you turn on the press. So essentially, you’ll have your blank on the mill shy of the cutter head, the bushing in the bottom with the mill bar inside the bushing to center it… Take it slow when you are cutting as you could chatter the mill on the wood messing up your blank.

You could also do something similar by making mini-bushings that will fit inside your tubes, but have a 7mm hole for the mill shaft. Same idea, but will make less of a chance of chattering.

The pen mill sets have one that fits the sierra/wall street ii (any pen you drill the blank with a 27/64” bit.)
