I'm building a box with 1/4" thick sides. I typically will use splines or dowels to reinforce the corners. Keeping in mind the thinness of the sides are there any other options?
bc4393, even though the OP says reinforce I am primarily doing it for looks. In the past when I used one of my boxes as a step stool it held up for awhile but eventually gave out. I blame the failure on lack of reinforcment in the mitered corners, or the thinness of the sides, or…
