Im looking at a delta 6×48 12 inch disc sander on cl like new, i have a simliar version . Smaller do i need this or would i be better off with a 80 inch edge sander, would like to get your professional or practical exp with this.

The usable table space on the belt sander is small , would like opinions

Have no idea what your budget for this is but here is link for a 80” from Grizzly. LINK

Comes right at 900 with freight.

I have the Grizzly 12” disc sander, heavy unit and works great!

I have that Grizzly edge sander and it really does a good job. It will sand pieces and holds a perfect square edge to the table.
The only thing I would do over if I had the chance is to get an oscillating edge sander. It helps keep the paper cleaner and reduces sanding lines, which aren’t that bad but the less cleanup I have to do after, the better.
