Topic tags/keywords: antique plane capewell plane

I picked up this old place at a flea market where I live for 5 bucks, mainly to check it out and start fixing it. I can’t find anything out about this company – Capewell that’s embossed on the iron cap. All parts are there but the thing is very rusty. Does anyone know anything about this company and their planes. The plane is all cast iron with a wooden tote and front handle. It’s 10” long by 2 13/32 wide.

Thanks again,

HD

The only reference I found is this one

Looks like it is out of Harford Conn. Seems to be a Stanley knockoff…or maybe an actual Stanley ( I know they made planes for other companies).

A couple of photos of yours might lead to more info.
