Hi everyone. Hope weekend was good. Ok well this weekend I counted up my cash and did some accounting and figured that I’m able to spend $600.00 on a new band saw. (Thank god for commisioned WORK!!)
I have been looking over Delta’s 14” Band saw and went to Rockler to review it, and it seemed to be a good band saw. I was wondering what you guy’s think of this band saw, and any of you LJ’s out there with one please tell how you feel about it.
BAD? GOOD? SO SO??

Thank you, Michael Frey

I took a look at local Rockler store couple months ago, it’s a OK bandsaw. Don’t buy it because of its brand name.

Greetings Delta: I’ve got nearly the exact same bandsaw….Mine’s a 28-212, and they both look pretty much alike to me.. Had mine about 10 years, and not a minutes trouble with it…it runs smooth and quiet.. Once you get it tuned up and good blades on it, you should have no trouble if you decide to buy it. I use good quality blades, and that is a big plus to use on any bandsaw. If you want to, go to my home, then click on my woodshop pixs, and you can see it..they look like twins…... Oh….and in my opinion, Grizzly is a piece of crap….I had a 14” (my first one I bought), and it flew apart and broke the bottom shaft, and the wheel flew right off and nearly got me…..I had another Grizzly product… it was a piece, too… But you decide what brand you want…it’s your $. Maybe they are better built nowdays….I don’t know or want to. That’s just my experience.

Thanks I have heard mixed reviews of Grizzly. I think I’m going yo go with Delta. I have mostly delta tools, and have had no problems.
