Topic tags/keywords: sandblasting sandcarving wood carver sandblaster

Hi everyone, I am new hear so I figured I would introduce myself and ask if there were any wood sandcarvers here.

My names Eric and I am from Cincinnati. I work with some traditional wood working projects but have lately been working with sandcarving wood with sandblasting techniques. Basically, I use a sandblaster to carving out wood with stencils.

Feel free to welcome me and state if you work with this type of wood working. I would enjoy seeing others projects. Thanks

I looked at your old Firebird. Brings back memories. I had a 68 like yours, and a 69 Formula 400 ragtop.

I don’t know anything about sandblasting. Who dey!!

Glad to have you on boardm, Eric. I am sorry but I would not know where to begin with regards to sandcarving wood. In addition artistry is not one of my talents but I do enjoy seeing it expressed by those to whom it has been given.

Thanks everyone for the welcome.

hariy, its great to see another cincinnatian here. I still like my Bengals but dang they are really disappointing me right now. I am hoping to get the firebird restored by the end of next summer. I just rebuilt the engine with high performance parts. Right now the whole front end is apart and ready for sandblasting, fresh paint, and new suspension components. Im kind of excited about it. Its only a 350 but it should out perform a typical 400.
