Going over the directions and making sure my terminology was correct I found that Sawstop is considered a left tilting saw which is what I expected. Now looking over the Incra Miter Express directions it indicates that for left tilting the sled should be on the right side of the blade. Yet most videos I see of the Incra Miter being used on a Sawstop shows the miter gauge to the left of the blade. Keep in mind they aren't using the Miter Express Sled. Unfortunately the directions that come with the sled and gauge don't address using one with the other exclusively and the majority of the diagrams show the sled for right tilting saws. Sawstop expressly say all their models are left tilting. Is this a confusion in standards? The top of the blade tilts clearly left while the bottom to the right. I remember going through something like this before with the Shopsmith and of course the blade doesn't tilt at all but rather the table.
Can someone with this setup possibly advise this poor soul before he goes a bit crazier?
Thanks,
