This has been beat to death but I’m going to mention it again.
I got my new magazine yesterday along with the umteenth renewal notice that I should renew now before my subscription expires..My sub expires in 2013!!
Maybe I could send them a notice that they need to send me the next 28 issues before my subscription expires!

Personally, I am not renewing most wood working magazines. There is so much available on the web and now I can sit in my recliner, coffee at my side, and comfortably read on my I-pad. As an FYI, I really like my I-pad. It is not a replacement for my regular computer, but it is a great supplement to it.

I’ve commented on this before in another post, but this drives me nuts.
And, when you call them asking them why they did it, they just say to discard the early renewal request.
I’m with Rich, I think I’m going to let most of my subscriptions just expire.
There is a ton of redundancy anyway and someone else had mentioned that they all send them at the same time. Can’t they stagger them?

I think I’m done when they expire.
(I’d rather spend it on glue.) LOL

Good post Howie.

I also have become like Rich and surf the web. I got tired of paying for all the advertising that is in magazines. Although Rich, I haven’t gotten quite as sophisticated as you with the I-pad. Who knows though it may be around the corner.

I agree, most of the mags here are just full of adds. I tend to flick at the store and just by doing that see everthing I wanted to see. If I really want to read about someone or something I get thier name and check it out on the net!
Better value is like I did yesterday, buy them secondhand. Got a bundle for $1. Now I dont mind looking through all the adds!
