Hi, I am working up the speeds on my new lathe. Iam doing ok up to 1600, I increased to 2200 because I thought it would cut better it does but as soon as it hit full speed the tail end starts moving across the table. The piece I am working on is rounded and balanced. Would it be ok to put block in back of the lathe to keep it in place.

Block it, clamp it, screw it, whatever it takes. Walking is why the bigger floor models have lots of weight to them or added to them.
