Hey guys, I am new here and just wanted to let you know that this seems like a very down to earth site with a lot of good folks on board. I am now in my 40 th year of working wood and my computor skills are pretty lame. I only happened upon these type forums approx. one year ago and participated on one only to find lots of arragance. I also found that that forum was fulll of guys that had become experts with only two years or less exp. and surprisingly some had even become masters at the 4-6 year mark. Got to loveit. I have read lots of posts here and will say that this is salt of the earth peaple here. And Neil, I don t know you but you are the deal clencher for me, with your tactful posts. Look forward to posting and for the first time ever hope to post shop pics soon. JB

Greetings cabmaker: Glad to have you join us on your long journey of woodworking with all the fine folks we have here.. There is some great talent here and really good craftsman…..But… I have to tell you in all honesty, sometimes it’s not all that peaceful here… But it’s pretty mild compared to other forums I am told…That being said, welcome, and enjoy your stay…...

I agree with you about being a down to earth site.
It is a place to get addicted to quite easily too. I wouldn’t be here if the people were nasty and arrogant, to me they are helpful and inspiring.
Now your here, your a Lumberjock and can pass on some of your wealth of knowledge to people like me who have only just begun.
Enjoy Ljs

Welcome to Lumberjocks, Cabmaker; it’s a great place for woodworkers of all kinds.

Glad you could join us Cabmaker. I’m pretty new myself and compared to other forums/sites I’ve visited, LJs is by far the best. I am just a beginning hobbyist, but I find LJs to be full of friendly, helpful people whose projects are an inspiration.

I blush. Sincerely.

Very kind of you to say.

Welcome. Enjoy your time here.

And … yeah … please DO put up shop pics, as early as you can. It’s the LumberJocks equivalent of the little dog sniff deal—it’s how we get to know you.

terrilynne: I crack up every time I see your posts.

Lemme’ offer to buy you a new keyboard. You CAN’T be having fun, typing like that.

Heck … depending on what part of Colorado you’re in … I could possibly throw in delivery by motorcycle, too :-)
