Topic tags/keywords: freud collet 12 collet router

I need to find a 1/2” collet for Freud router model FT1700VCE. Can anyone help me find one? Freud no longer sells tools, or parts for the tools they did have.

You should check the router forums.

Your only 1/2 right about the Freud parts. True, Freud quit selling them, but apparently when Bosch bought the bits/blades business from them one part of the deal is they handle parts for the Freud tools. So the phone number you want is 630-705-7810; and the part number is 13602.7431. If you want the collet nut as well it is 13603.7411. How do I know? I have a 1700 and had to get some parts from them. One other little tidbit: the collets from a Dewalt 625 will fit. BTW, that was about 3 years ago i bought some collet nuts…I’m guessing things haven’t changed.

Good to know. I have a second FT1700 waiting in the wings in case my first one should ever fail. I really like those routers in a table.
