I am thinking about starting a little side hobby/business. I want to build custom wooden rocking chairs and eventually sell them on eBay. However, I would like to get some practice before I make the leap. I consider myself fairly good at woodworking, but it will be a first with rocking chairs.

Do you have any suggestions on where I can get some good designs and ideas?

Thanks,

Peter

Well, that is kind of an open ended question. There are a lot of different styles of rocking chars. I have interest in those modeled after Sam Maloof’s work. Here are 3 web sites that sell plans and/or instructions for this type of chair.

Hopefully, this is what you are looking for. If these are not in line with what you are thinking, you might want to help us out with what you have in mind.
