this is not exactly wood.. but i figured since yall are finishers you came across this before.. i am installing old galvalum roof panels on the ceiling of a porch. (see attached picture). i know when there installed as a roof panel we use those neoprene washer self tapping screws… but what do you suggest to use as a ceiling panel on a log cabin porch ? (attaching to wood trusses at 24” o.c.). The logs are a darker brown. hopefully the screw is something i can get at the local hardware store, but will order online if i its a better choice.

If it were me, I’d use the same screws as you would attaching it to a roof. Keeps the look alive and there is no doubt that they are the “right” fasteners. Other fasteners might work, but I would be concerned about material compatibility.
Just an opinion, no basis in experience.
