There is a Makita 2030 planer about 1hr. away from where I live- seems to be in good condition- asking $250 and needs some tlc. is this a good deal? thanks

If it’s in good condition, then $250 is an excellent price.

thanks for the info. From what iv’e read, there’s a place in Oregon that will resurface the roller if needed for about $150? thanks for the info.

I had mine done at Western Roller, and IIRC, they were about that price (~$75 a roller). Great service and they even called me up a few weeks later to make sure I was happy with their job. I highly recommend them.
