Topic tags/keywords: bandsaw lathe scroll saw drill press tablesaw

Yesterday I answered an ad in the Pennysaver here locally. It was for a 1944 Walker-Turner WT900 drill press.
I met the gentleman and could not give him the $100.00 fast enough. The only thing not original was the power cord. His father bought it new and he inherited it.
I also got the Delta 6” jointer. The jointer looks like they just took it out of the box. No sign of luse and all manuals with it.
I have a new Grizzly GO661 on the way or I would have bought the Shopsmith as well. The Shopsmith looks brand new, with drill press, lathe, bandsaw, table saw (large table), new fence, new scroll saw etc
It is in Palmdale California. I did not get The model number but i will take my camera back with me when I get the jointer. All manuals are with the Shopsmith as well. He is asking $2000.00.
I will post pictures next week.

Wow thats a great find especialy for Lancaster, LOL Hey now don’t you have two drill presses? If you need to get rid of one I’m sure you will have no problem. I am still working on getting a Ridgid Jointer for 199 or less if I am lucky. Cords are easy to find you know what works well and usaly have lying around is a computer cord they are wraped and grounded.

I had two DP. lol The 1952 model went today. A friend needed the 17” WT1200, so I kept the 14” WT900.
Are you interested in a brand new Grizzly 6” bench top jointer? Never been used. The price is right…

Keep it going Rand. I don’t have any idea with prices in USA. I’m sure you knew very well to select the best buy. Well, I could be a teacher….years and years from now… your shop can wait because you are buying those items that will last forever… Cheers and good luck.

These were not something on my To Get List. They were just too good to pass up. The DP has cost me nothing as I sold my old one to get this one. The jointer was just to good to miss, so I’m gathering scrap metals to get the cost of it. I knew that I saved all that scrap for some reason. lol
This WT900 has two drilling platforms, so I turned the top one toward the back to hold my coffee cup while I’m working. Very important feature. lol It is great for the magnetic light as well.Pictures to come. Rand
