I have been building Adirondack chairs over the years and would like to build what I call a hybrid Adirondack. It would be similar in style but not with the long bottom leg(just regular straight back legs) and something that doesn’t sit as low(I get in them ok but it’s getting harder to get up – age. I think). Anyone know of a plan for this. I have thought of adapting one of the styles I use but wonder if there is a full plan available out there. Thanks.

Take a look at this plan at Woodcraft.com It is a rocking Adirondack chair which might be easier to get up from.
