I am not having much luck finding individual extra long brad point bits. I would like the bit to be 8 or 9 inches but it seems like 12 inches is the norm. I need sizes 3/16 & 11/64. You guys have any sources for stuff like that?

I’m a bit unclear on what length you actually want. You say you want 8-9” length, but that the “standard” long bits are a foot long.

Do you need something shorter than a foot, and … if so … why (do you have to get in to a fairly tight spot) ?

What about these

I have been looking at those very ones actually. They just dont have the 11/64 size in it though. I figured I would be able to buy them separately for 3 or 4 bucks apiece. I may have to settle for the Amazon set. Thank You.

I don’t know about brad points, but bisco tool has twist bits in that size in both 6 and 12 inch lengths for a very good price. I have used them before and really like them.

Hey thanks. I am not stuck on brad bits, in fact I know very little about drill bits. I am making little wooden pipes and I want to be able to drill down the stem. I will go look at Bisco Tool right now. Thanks again.

Lee Valley also has a great selection of brad point and other bits…
