The Blind Boys of Alabama. If I’m not mistaken you can swap out the music and lyrics for House of the Rising Son, Amazing Grace, Little Town of Bethleham and Gilligans Island theme song and it will still work musically.

Excellent! I like Clarence Carter, who was a solo act and had some Top 10 crossovers in the 60’s… Like Slip Away. These guys are on Leno a lot! I recall a Boston radio station laying the vocals of Gilligan’s Island onto Led Zeppelin’s Stairway to Heaven’ Perfect! Wow, who thinks up this stuff? Here’s one... Robbie Robertson of “The Band” fused two totally different songs together, Dinah Washington’s “This Bitter Earth” 1963, with a New Age gem ‘the Nature of Daylight’ by Max Richter… and the end product was featured in the credits scene of “shutter Island with diCaprio. Stunning! enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzOFlCIY0H8
