I’m doing a cleanup of scrap pieces of my storage and lumbermill side and I have a lot of oddballs of mesquite and eucalyptus that I can cut into blanks and send them out for people who are interested. They are well dried and ready to go. Depending what you want, I can cut for completely clear or if you want something that you can fill with some inlays, I have some with some cracks and small flaws.

I can cut blank sized from 2” square on down and in varying lengths up to 3’.

The mesquite is excellent for tool handles, infill planes and anything else you guys can imagine. The Eucalyptus is a wood that has some beautiful character in my opinion.

Prices will vary as to what sizes and the quantity.
As long as this thread is open, I have stock. I have 4 or 5 pallets with this wood on it.

I would argue that the eucalyptus makes for better handles having turned both for tool handles. Mesquite would be a great plane and I’m doing a jointer next with some of Woodys wood as well. With that said, help Woody clear his scrap bin and get some good stuff. I just built a plane this weekend with Woody’s red eucalyptus. Beautiful stuff!

FYI, I don’t make any money off of this endorsement, just enjoy the stock woody has sold me.

AZWoody,

I have recently started woodturning and am making my mistakes on little stuff (pens, paraffin lamps, teeny bowls, etc). What would be the charges for a small priority mail box or a medium (thicker) priority mail box of a mix of this wood? Or is what I am thinking of too small to fool with?

Thanks,
Iwoodtryharder

I have a mix of some pen blanks already made from some of the pieces I had laying around. Any other sizes you have in mind, in terms of width, pm me and we can go from there. I might have some boxes already here that I can fill to see how much can fit.

If you’re filling a medium sized square box I know 128 pen blanks can fit in it. I did a trade on the wood trade thread and was given 128 packed tight.

Just for anyone’s info.

Thanks. I didn’t think it would be even close to that much.
