Buenos Dias

It appears that Photobucket has made some changes to their web site since I last posted pictures.

Have spent the last two evenings trying to get my pix posted in a blog to be the correct size….......
seems no matter what is tried…......i.e resizing the pix on Photobucket…....when it comes time to insert the photo….....selecting the photo and clicking on the ‘insert image’ button results in the same thing…...a thumbnail size photo….too small to see on the blog…...!

Any clarification/help with this problem would be greatly apperciated.

I don’t deal with Photobucket so I don’t really know, but it sounds like you are somehow pasting a link to the thumbnail of the image rather than the image itself.

Greetings Doug,
When you get through re-sizing your pixs, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and it’ll say

“Replace original”... hit that button….Remember to re-size to 480×640 pixels, or Large…..

When done re-sizing, the pixs will appear again….just click the back button at the top of the page….

I think that should do it…...works for me…....Someone may have a better idea, though. Adios, amigo!!!!!!

Doug, the only other thing that I can add is to make sure there is an ! at the beginning and end of the link. I have found that, on occasion, the exclamation points can be omitted when pasting the link. If the link does not have this then it will appear only as a thumbnail.

I don’t care for photobucket so that’s why I don’t post any pictures. They want too much information. Just MHO

Why can’t you just post a pic straight from your hard drive.

Because LJ would need a few terrabytes of disk space to store all the photos if they were uploaded here and if they were just linked back to your computer then nobody but you would be able to see them…
