Hello all, a lathe came across my radar without any description or manufacture information. The auction house hasn’t got back to me regarding my questions. Any ideas or input is welcome, I have to decide tomorrow if i attend this auction. all i know is it looks old and heavy, which is how i like my tools.

If your intention is to use it as a wood lathe, I would pass. If your passion is restoring and preserving old machinery that is another matter. It looks too me like a very old multipurpose lathe with maybe an 9-11” swing.
