Found a general international TS model 50-185m1 on Craigslist for $250. Looked to be in pretty good condition. I don’t know anything about the brand. Any experiences or what a good price would be? Thanks!

General was a good quality Canadian brand. General international is a subsidiary that sells cheap Chinese machinery. I don’t know anything about that particular saw.

It sold for nearly $800 new. The GI 50-185m1 was an excellent Taiwanese left tilt contractor saw…roughly on par with the comparable Jet and PM64a of the day. Rated # contractor saw by Fine WWing. The General T-fence (Biese Home Fence) is excellent, it has a very rugged miter gauge, strong motor, and solid cast iron wings. Good setup and good blade selection will make it plenty capable. In good condition it could be well worth $400. $250 sounds very fair unless it’s trashed.
