Well some of you have noticed I've not been around much the last couple of weeks. Actually, it kind of amazes me the number that have noticed. Anyway, I've been ill and continue to have medical issues. Unfortunately, my issues are going to make it impossible for me to host the picnic in February. I'm not going to be completely out of commission, but I really need to focus on getting better.
I'm going to be lurking in the background on the site and getting on when I think I have something to contribute. I'm also thinking that now would be a good time for me to do some book reviews for our new review section. So I'm not going completely away, just backing up a bit.
I'm sorry about the picnic. Once I get back to full strength I'll work on a new date.
Betsy, get well soon, like not later than the end of April. (It sounds like you are planning about a month of down time. Less, I hope.)
I have a woodworking friend who lives in that (your) neck of the woods and I was planning on coming down to see him at the time of the picnic.
I know that Donna Menke lives down in that neck of the woods and another friend up here in Georgia met her on a wood carver's cruise and he was also going to come and coerce Donna to coming to the picnic.
We were planning a grand time around your picnic so you just have to get better.
Betsy, sorry to hear you are not feeling well, take care of yourself and do not worry about the picnic, everyone will understand. I will keep you in my prayers. Hurry back…MIKE
Thanks everyone. I'm going to be ok-- just a problem that pops up now and again, and I just have to ride it out, let it run its course and get back in the saddle.
Betsy,
You get better, and that's an order!!! We miss your smiling face around here. So take the computer to bed with you and blog us up a bunch. Get well soon.
Wish you a speedy recovery Betsy - you have been missed.
