Ten days ago, I was ranting about a quality control problem that I discovered with my new Jet 14” band saw ( http://lumberjocks.com/topics/20043 ). It was a problem with a stripped screw in a casting.
Today, I’m here to tell you that Jet stepped up to the plate and is making things right with me.
I contacted their customer service department, and today got a very nice reply from Debbie Sons of Walter Meier Manufacturing’s Internet Customer Support. She apologized for the inconvenience and informed me that this problem was being brought to the attention of their Technical Support Manager.
They very graciously offered me a pair of very nice clamps for my trouble, and I have (humbly) accepted their offer.
A lot of companies would just blow off a complaint like the one I registered. Kudos to Jet and Walter Meier Manufacturing for taking the time to listen and respond.
