I purchased these sewing machine LED task lights for my miter saw, drill press and band saw. Have to say I love them – especially since they cost a little over twelve bucks and were delivered the same day :)

I wired the one on the miter saw in ahead of the switch so it has independent operation. The lamp base has a large magnet. In order to mount it to the saw I fastened a fender washer to the upper housing to give the magnet something to grab. I left just enough slack so the base can be rotated to bring the light to either side of the blade.

I plan on wiring the light for the drill press and band saw the same way.

I have decent lighting in the shop, but at those three machines, there’s always a shadow on my mark. These should help with that. Free same day delivery was the bonus ;)
