Topic tags/keywords: incra incra fence incra adjustments saw fence

hello everyone, my first post here, so I am very much hoping that someone can put me on the corrct track. When changing the fence position on my Incra fence system it makes a “crrrrrrrr” sound. It seems as if the bolt in the systen is riding against the indented plastic locking mechanism, that stops the fence form moving when the Incra lever has been pulled up, is mine damaged or is there a setting I can change or have I slid the sliding “t” into the housing incoorectly?
WHen watching any Incra demo on youtube any fense adjustment just seems to glide, while mine makes a clucking noise that would put a host of chickens to shame… please can someone direct me to a video on making the right adjustments, I live in South Africa so nipping into my local incra dealer is impossible because nobody here carries the whole range. thanks in anticipation.

Start here and make sure you’re not suffering from user error. If this doesn’t clear it up for you there are many other vids+ on YouTube that may help.

I have an LS-III. Sounds like you are not fully releasing the front lock or you are holding the fence by the tip and not by the T bar to move it.
