I put it in the shopping cart – 300 total. although at 800lbs. I just won’t be able to do much with it.

Try and place the order. But also look in their “ordering FAQs” and under the title “Oops.” There you will see that they reserve the right to correct typographical errors at the time they place your order. They’ll most likely send you an email that says “Hello, MarkwithaK, we need to correct the price of the planer your ordered to $1,999.99. Would you like to continue with your purchase?” Or something like that.

I ordered one a couple hours ago, got an order confirmation, $310 and change, order status, shipped. Can’t be changed now, can it?

Someone on another woodworking forum said they called Rockler this morning and was told it was a typo; should have been $1999. I just went to the Rockler web site and the PM 209 is not there any more on the “Outlet Page”

Not to hijack the thread, but here is another that doesn’t sound right: http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?page=21682&filter=Rockler%20Outlet

Its a Jet 10” Jointer… for $300.. Sure its a bench top.. but add a stand, maybe some weights, and you have a 10” Jointer for about $500 less than a griz…

My new planer is fine, it’s just not the one from Rockler. They actually wanted $1999.99 for that sucker. I had to cancel my order. I did get the Rikon jointer from Woodcraft for the advertized special price of $150. I’m still in shock. That’s a nice machine. Kinda makes up for that $45 drill guide I bought at Woodcraft and then found the exact same thing at Lowes for $19 just two days later.
