Does anyone know where I can find plans for wall mounted swing arm lamps, or someone who sells the mechanism that swings? I have been unable to find anything on the internet for such a creature. Any help would be appriciated. Thanks Plangg

Been watching your thread since you posted the question. Hoping someone answers because I’d like to build a couple, my self.
C’mon guys. Somebody must know how to build these.

Why couldn’t you just copy one that someone sells? The light tubular framing that they use on some of them could just as easily be wood. For the light and cord you could just use the simple work lights that you clamp onto something.

here's the first one I found

Just study how it is framed. The framing could be 3/4 in sq (maybe even smaller) and built pretty much like you see that this one is built. You could also use emt conduit for the framing. Just go to lowes with a legal pad and pencil and sketch it out. Those little portable clip on work lights aren’t but about $10 or $12.

Mcmaster Carr# sells all kinds of hardware and tubing. They may even sell brackets that clamp on to emt or other tubing that you could use.
