Topic tags/keywords: question grinder

I recently acquired a Grizzly T10010 wetstone from craigslist for a super great deal.

It didn’t have any guide accessories, and so I purchased some Triton guides for it. They fit the 12mm support arm perfectly.

I am happy with the Grizzly; I can’t afford a better grinder. But, I would prefer the threaded fine adjustment nut of the support arm that I see on Jet, Triton, and Tormek grinders.

While I am considering putting the Grizzly arm through a threading die, I’m more interested in buying a replacement.

While I haven’t found a Triton support arm for individual/part sale, I have run into a Jet arm ~$25 and a Tormek ~$45.

Someone know fitment of wetstone support arms is universal ?

I don’t know if there is a universal standard for support arms; I’d be surprised if there was. Would it be very difficult to modify the Triton arm?
