Topic tags/keywords: table saw contractor saw hybrid saw jwss-10cs

This saw was just posted and it is right on the edge of my budget. Not sure if it’s worth the price and I can’t find much online about it. http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/dak/tls/5968030738.html

Any information would be appreciated.

$1500 will buy you a new Grizzly G1023RL or G1023RLW industrial 3hp cabinet saw with a warranty, riving knife, and proven design. $1500 for that particular Jet buys you a used saw with no warranty or riving, and a design with a history of problems, which may be why they abandoned it. You can do much, much better for your money IMO. If you’re limited to 120v, look to the new Jet Proshop or Laguna Fusion….both better saws with warranty and riving.

That’s what I thought. I just didn’t know much about it. Thank you.

I had a Jet contractor saw with that same fence and rail system. It worked quite well and was very accurate. I can’t speak to that specific model, but my experience with Jet has been very positive.

Since then I bought a Sawstop. Like knotscott mentioned, it would be hard to go back to a saw without a true riving knife.
